RE: good grief II: obnoxious cg owner

I'm also wondering why the OP is still staying in a CG that is causing them so much grief? Me thinks there is more to the story than we are being told.

Goo Gone. Pick up a bottle at Wal Mart and just wipe the excess caulking off.

RE: Batteries NOT Charging from Tow Vehicle

In my GM there was a place to install a fuse to get power to the trailer. worked great after that. Typical of manfactures to save $
My GM came new with the fuse in the glove box. Seems GM correctly figured that there isn't much point to the truck having a live wire at the rear of the truck, if you don't actually need it there.
No idea how you figure this saves GM any money, as they give you a fuse, and the dummy fuse in the fuse panel? Be cheaper to just install the fuse, no?

RE: Pros and Cons of Seasonal Campgrounds

Why bother with a trailer if you are leaving it in one spot. Kind of defeats the purpose of having a trailer doesn't it.
We don't have a "trailer", we have an RV, and since we make the payments on it, we get to define its "purpose". Its purpose right now is to sit its shiney butt in its seasonal site and be ready whenever we deciede we want to use it. :B

RE: What would you have done?

For all posters -- Are you originally from Ohio? Most Ohio drivers will enter an interstate and immediately move over to the left lane and stay there.
Of course we have to, there is usually some slow car with PA plates in all the other lanes. :B

RE: YOUR IDEAL CAMPGROUND

An adults only pool like at the CG we are seasonal at now was a huge factor for us.

Why are you adding the cost of food and beer? Don't you eat and drink if you stay home?

RE: Pulling with gas apliances running

So you are assuming that flame shot out of the hot water tank burner, across the shoulder of the road, then turned DOWN, rather than the traditional up, and ignited the grass?
How about this, two old people are traveling in seperate cars in Florida. One flicks a cigarette butt into the median. The second driver sees this, and being the busy-body that they are, attempts to get driver #1's plate number. driver #2 has bad eyesight, so they close in on #1 rear bumper. #1 sees the tailgator, and spikes his brakes to make a point. #2 hits #1, both cars swerve into the median, where thier hot tailpipes ignite the grass not already aflame from the disgarded cig butt.
Fortunately for the hapless drivers, 4 EMTs are on thier way to whereever the heck I-10 goes to, for a weekend of whatever they do at the end of I-10. They pull over the older motorhome they are driving, with the burn mark around the hotwater tank from 4 years ago, and render assistance to the two drivers.
This sounds as likely an explaination as any for what happened, no?
P.S. Hi DSteiner, how ya been?

RE: Seasonal Camping

We have a seasonal in Geneva-on-the-Lake. Cost is $2000 a year plus electric and cable. Campground has a store, restaurant/bar, laundry, and most importantly, and adults only pool :) . You can leave it on your site all year if you like, but we store ours underground in a converted coal mine.

RE: Wolf's Camping Resort

Stayed a few nights there 2 years ago. We were there in the fall on weeknights, so the campground was pretty quiet. The campground is right against I-80, and the sounds from semis going up and down the steep hill were rather noticable.

I was thinking along the same line as Jenks60. The O.P. must have a heap of other deductions to be looking to write off the rv's interest.
